Requirements & Guidelines for Stallholders & Practitioners
To ensure a safe, professional, and enjoyable experience for all, all stallholders and practitioners must adhere to the following guidelines:
Space & Setup – Each participant is allocated a 3x4m outdoor space. You are responsible for bringing your own tent, table, signage, and any equipment needed for your stall or service.
Qualifications (For Therapists & Practitioners) – All therapists, wellness practitioners, and professional service providers (e.g., massage, energy healing, sound therapy, tarot reading) must hold valid professional qualificationsrelevant to the services they provide. Proof of qualifications may be requested before the festival.
Health & Safety Compliance – All participants must comply with UK health and safety regulations. Food vendors must hold current Food Hygiene Certification and follow all relevant food safety rules.
Insurance – All stallholders and practitioners must hold valid Public Liability Insurance. Practitioners should also have Professional Indemnity Insurance where applicable. Proof may be requested before the festival.
Professional Conduct – Participants must maintain a respectful, professional, and friendly attitude toward attendees, fellow participants, and festival staff. Aggressive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the festival.
Waste Management & Sustainability – Participants are responsible for keeping their area clean. Eco-friendly practices, such as biodegradable packaging, reducing single-use plastics, and recycling where possible, are encouraged.
Setup & Pack-Down Times – All areas must be fully set up by the designated opening time and vacated by the stated closing time. Vehicle movement on-site is only permitted during approved periods.
Prohibited Items – Alcohol is strictly prohibited. The Istok Retreat Festival is a non-alcoholic event. Illegal products or unsafe equipment are not permitted.
